Major Trip Update: We got mini speaks. Mini speakers for my iPod that is, and we now have beats for our room and train cars. There is some majorly low quality sound coming out of these things, but they only cost seven dollars split between Kevin and I so it’s all good. Listening to Kanye West in the hotel room now. Nice.
Of course… great day so far. I think Kevin and I were initially a little sketched out about finding enough to do in the somewhat small city of Udaipur, but that is definitely not a problem and things are working out well. One of the benefits of Udaipur is that it is definitely made for chillin'. There is a totally relaxed vibe and that is exactly what we have been doing, relaxing and feeling those vibes.

After breakfast this morning we took a tuk tuk piloted by our new man in India, Babu, to the foot of a mountain that we spotted from Ambrai Restaurant yesterday. We rode an aerial tram from the mountains base about a mile or so up to the top and walked around. It was completely peaceful with an epic, near 360 degree view of the entire city of Udaipur, the palace, the lake, everything. I highly recommend it and it isn’t in the guidebooks. Just ask to go to the gondola thing-a-ma-jigs and the tuk tuk dudes will know what you’re talking about. When we were cruising around up top a group of young Indian kids asked if they could take a picture with us so we did and then asked them to do the same for us with our camera. They probably got us confused with Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise. Easy mistake to make so it’s all good.

We’re back at the hotel now as I said, listening to mini speaks. We may go out at 7:00PM tonight and watch the James Bond flick Octopussy, which was filmed here from what we have heard, with tuk tuk chases through Udaipur’s streets. A lot of the bars here play it because of that. Sounds good, fun and relaxing. Word life for now. Late.
